Penthouse Studio with stunning 12th floor views

We do not recommend anyone staying here! Positive: Nothing at all. Negative: Bad part of town. Homeless people everywhere. Walking around have clothed asking for money. We had reservations on the 12th what was advertised as a penthouse. The room was no more than 350 feet of space. Concrete floors with no stain or finish. The apartment complex had 12 floors but you are not allowed to park at the apartment complex. Yo have to park on the street which is always full or in the parking garage next door that does not have an access to the apartments. You have to walk down the car ramps and to the front of the apartments. Very long walk. The gate to the apartment complex stays open but you have to have a permit to park there which they would not give us even though we were staying in the building. We were in Birmingham visiting UAB for my wife who has to have a liver transplant. We parked in the parking garage the night before which cost us $24.95. The next day after Dr. Appointments we drove through the gate at the apartments parking lot and took my wife and some other stuff to or room. After I got her to the room I came back down to move my truck to the parking garage and I couldn’t find my truck because it had been towed. I called the contact person for the property and explained to him what had happened and he told me that I could not park there. I explained that I was unloading my wife and things but he didn’t care. He give me the number to the towing company and hung up on me. I called the towing company and told them what vehicle was mine and explained to them what had happened. I told them that my wallet was in the truck and I had no way to get to there towing company. He told me that that wasn’t his problem. He give me the address and I walked almost 2 miles to get my truck. I got back to the apartments and got to the 12th floor where our room was and my wife greeted me at the door to tell me that the A/C was not working. 6 hours later they got it fixed. We were so put out with everything that we left a day early.

Excellent choice, would choose it again! Positive: Excellent location with grocery and nearby event venues close. Negative: The parking was a bit problematic, but doable. There is a daily cost next door in the public parking area, so budget an extra $30 or so. I was gone for most of the day on business, so I was not able to get street parking. Also, no access to Tower from the parking area, although you can certainly go one way INTO the parking area which is good.

Very comfy apartment. Having no contact with any human resulted in a bit of a learning experience, but that was accompli Positive: Conveniently located. Clean an efficient. Lots of restaurant options a block away at five forks. Negative: No parking at building. Had to pay in parking garage or on street.

Nice studio in a central location Positive: This location was convenient. There was restaurants in walking distance. The studio was clean. The staff was responsive to assisting us during our stay oe updated the TV. Negative: The facility was not well kept by the property management company. The lobby was not clean or stocked. There was also trash in front of the main entrance one day which was not removed for over 8hrs.

Positive: The location is great. The u se of the Latch is great. It would be nice to give guest a heads up before making a reservation. It's not your traditional way of staying. I enjoyed the facility Negative: The parking for guest should include a parking permit to avoid being towed and paying a tremendous amount for parking next door
